To prepare Floridians for personal and financial success through educational programs in economics, the free enterprise system and personal financial literacy to develop productive members of the workforce and equip responsible consumers and wise investors.

WHO WE ARE
The Florida Council on Economic Education (FCEE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving K-12 school districts, teachers and students throughout Florida. The FCEE operates as a public/private partnership and is the primary resource for teachers seeking training and classroom resources for economic and financial education, all at no cost thanks to the generous financial support of our business community funders.
WHAT WE DO
We partner with and support five Centers for Economic Education across Florida, each of which is committed to providing quality professional development training to educators and innovative instructional materials for their classrooms. The FCEE realizes professional development training for teachers delivers an extraordinary multiplier effect, with every K-5 teacher reaching 25-30 students each year and middle and high school teachers reaching up to 200 students annually. Once trained, an educator is able to integrate economics and personal finance lessons into their classroom for years, thus helping to make literally thousands of students economically and financially literate.
HOW WE DO IT
The FCEE and our affiliated Centers for Economic and Financial Education provide award-winning professional development training to districts free of charge. Many trainings can be used toward CEU credits and provide resources or a stipend for attending. Workshops stress the importance interweaving economics into other content areas such as drama, history, math, and literature and align with current standards and pedagogical methods.
