AN INTERACTIVE PROGRAM
FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
BUILDING FINANCIAL CONFIDENCE FOR THE FUTURE
Financial Independence Tomorrow (FIT) equips high school students with the financial knowledge, real-world experience, and professional connections they need to build a confident and lasting financial foundation.
FIT goes beyond a single presentation. Through a three-day series, students move from learning essential financial concepts to applying them to real decisions, while developing practical skills and a decision-making process they can use throughout their lives.
FIT IS OPEN TO STUDENTS WHO:
Are currently enrolled in grades 9–12
Can attend the entire three-session program
Want to learn more about personal finance and financial independence
Are interested in exploring careers in finance-related fields
THE FIT EXPERIENCE
Students participate in the full three-session series, with each experience building on the concepts, goals and decisions introduced in the previous session.
SESSION 1
MONEY BASICS
Students explore decision-making, money basics, saving, budgeting and financial behavior. Each student finishes the session by creating a SMART financial goal that they carry throughout the program.
SESSION 2
THE POWER OF SAVING
Students compare financial accounts and institutions, explore financial aid and the cost of attendance, experience a college campus and revisit their SMART financial goal based on what they have learned.
SESSION 3
CAREERS IN FINANCIAL SERVICES
Students discover regional career pathways in financial services, hear directly from industry professionals and participate in structured networking. The series concludes with a knowledge and behavior assessment.
