Florida Council on Economic Education Receives National 2026 NAEE Curriculum Award

The Florida Council on Economic Education (FCEE) is proud to announce it has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 National Association of Economic Educators (NAEE) Curriculum Award, a prestigious national honor recognizing excellence in economic, entrepreneurship, and personal finance education.

The award recognizes FCEE’s Financial Freedom Workbook, an innovative instructional resource designed to help students build strong economic reasoning and personal finance skills through real-world application and active learning. The workbook was praised for being accurate, engaging, classroom-ready, and adaptable for educators, while encouraging students to think critically about core economic and financial concepts.

A national panel of economic education experts highlighted the Financial Freedom Workbook for its creativity, accessibility, and potential to make a meaningful impact on student learning. The resource supports teachers in delivering high-quality instruction while empowering students to make informed financial decisions that will benefit them throughout their lives.

“We are honored to receive this national recognition from NAEE,” said Suzanne Costanza, Executive Director of the Florida Council on Economic Education. “This award affirms our commitment to providing Florida educators with high-quality, practical resources that prepare students for real-world financial and economic decision-making.”

The 2026 NAEE Curriculum Award will be formally presented at the NAEE Annual Conference in March in Kansas City. Through this recognition, NAEE seeks to elevate best practices in economic education, support educators nationwide, and expand student access to effective, high-quality learning materials.

The Florida Council on Economic Education works statewide to equip teachers and students with the knowledge and skills needed for lifelong economic and financial success.
