The materials include one book for grades 3-5, one book for grades 6-8 and one book for grades 9-12. Each lesson contains student activities, overhead transparencies, and background information on the economic content and how it relates to mathematics. Extension activities where students can apply their mathematics and economics knowledge to other situations are also provided.

The Student GM Challenge provides Florida students in grades 6-12 with a unique and cutting-edge learning experience in sports business management. The Student GM Challenge is a first-of-its kind economics lesson experienced through the eyes of a sports executive. Applying key economic concepts related to finance, marketing, business management and human resources, students will learn what it takes to run a sports franchise. From deciding player salaries to hot dog prices, from parking fees to marketing the team, students are in charge in the GM Challenge!
