Governor’s Awards Program

Held each year in May, the Governor’s Awards for Excellence in Teaching Economics program recognizes and rewards Florida’s most outstanding teachers for their creativity in presenting lessons in economics, personal finance and entrepreneurship. K-12 teachers submit project applications showing how they’ve infused economic lessons into their classrooms.

In addition to the project-based awards, the Charles C. Harper Economic Educator of the Year and the Florida Stock Market Challenge Advisor of the Year are named at the Governor’s Awards. The program is sponsored by Publix Super Markets Charities.
