First Coast Business Hall of Fame
The Florida Council on Economic Education will host the 15th Annual First Coast Business Hall of Fame on Thursday, October 31, 2013 beginning at 11:00, at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Jacksonville. On this special day, a new group of outstanding business and community leaders will be inducted as the Class of 2013. This year’s Honorees will promote the idea that financial literacy education is “Mission Possible”. Members of the Hall of Fame serve as inspirations to young people who will follow in their footsteps.

Established by Governor Askew in 1975, The Florida Council promotes economic education, financial literacy, investing, and entrepreneurship throughout the state’s K-12 system. By investing in the education of children, the First Coast business community has a tremendous influence in developing the leaders and citizens of tomorrow. Proceeds from the Hall of Fame support the economic and free enterprise education programs and financial literacy initiatives of the FCEE and the Center on Economic and Financial Education at Florida State College at Jacksonville. The Center on Economic and Financial Education at Florida State College at Jacksonville is an affiliate center of the Florida Council on Economic Education.
